PRODUCT: “Yours to make” Campaign
WHAT WAS THE GOAL? Design, format, spec and deliver 500+ digital, motion, print, and social media assets that were consistent with the “Yours to make” vision for Instagram.
HOW DID BLUEDGE MEDIA APPROACH THIS PROJECT? BluEdge Media was tapped by Instagram's agency to produce a wide variety of layouts using 12 base creative assets for static and motion digital OOH, print OOH, and social and programmatic media placements. These files were all produced in a 5 week timeframe by our teams working around the clock.
In addition to mechanical build-outs, still image work consisted of retouching, extensions, shading to help spotlight type, and overall color balancing. Video work for this project consisted of typographical flow, color grading, formatting, layouts, some post effects and minor editing, video encoding, frame rate translation, and mastering.
WHAT WAS THE OUTCOME? In terms of digital distribution, the “Yours to make” campaign launched in 8 major US cities (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas, Boston, Atlanta, Washington DC) with 114 unique locations! Another 46 locations in the UK also display the assets. Renowned news outlets like The Drum, Ad Age, and Campaign Live reflected on the campaign.
TAKEAWAYS FROM THE BLUEDGE MEDIA TEAM: Given the breadth of work and very short timeline we were given, the BLUEDGE MEDIA TEAM rose to the occasion and we surprised ourselves by putting a variety of expertise into the mix to make this happen. Instagram's agency team was thrilled with the results and we are now slated to produce another large-scale project with them this month. The resulting images are the kind that stop you in your tracks as you walk down the street and provide a renewed sense of personal creativity in us all.
